 |
|
Often in the Podkisst staff, we have a mini on going debate/discussion.
It involves the frequency of how often you get a show.
On one hand we think it would be cool to have the the show come once a week. we also fear that the shows would get "Lost" in the shuffle and lose their "uniqueness" in a sense.
Fears are that we would ...
1 - burn us, the staff out - we all have full time jobs/school/families and we are also working on our solo albums
2 - loss of quality and or focus
3 - when we do a show, it is the featured show...for example.
in the same week we had and interview with Eric Singer and then a week later the Ace one came. The Ace interview kind of over shadowed the Eric Interview and it almost got lost in the shuffle, eventually the numbers to the Eric Interview got to where they should be (roughly 3000 downloads) but it could have been lost in the shuffle.
We are also probably going to be adding some staff
One thing I will wait for Gary and Ferk to mention, but with Gary, Ferk , Mike and Geoff , we have a good rounded out "cast" if you will. But we are going to try to open up a bit and bring an old podkisst friend back and maybe go a bit more international.
So we want you the listeners to join with us on this discussion.
Have at it! |

| There are times when I feel I'd be a good co host but then I realize that you three pretty much cover all the bases I might try and cover. I don't think I could be as good as the lot of you. |

Yeah, I would love a podkisst every week, but realistically I know that isn't possible. I also think that once a month or whatever the frequency is allows you to make it the best it can be, as well as whetting our appetites for the next one. And there's no law that says you can't throw in a bonus one every once in awhile.
Looking forward to the Music From The Elder show next year |

I like a frequent show. If you can have a show once a week, then go ahead! Personally I would love that. We REALLY want to hear the Elder show!!!! |

I had only sporadically (that's a big word like gymnasium) checked out a couple of episodes due to life getting in the way and a lack of an ipod/mp3 player to get much out of them.
Well, I recently bought a 30gig Ipod due to starting a new job that involves 10 hour days of typing. I went full boar with PodKisst and I have listened to every episode over the last week.
I really love this show and you guys do a fantastic job! As for frequency, I think a weekly thing could be great but I'm totally fine with you guys sticking to a winning formula.
I used to do interviews for my old website (my namesake on here) and wouldn't mind maybe using some of my contacts for some KISS related interviews with people around the Nashville area. A good number of folks related to the Kamp over the years live around here. |

I say work at whatever pace you feel works for all of you.
If you put yourself in a box then you feel trapped to deliver a show let's say every week, then quality drops because it becomes work rather than fun and a hobby. Plus as far as interviews go there's just so many to go around then you run out of people....topics can go on forever though.
Having said that I've joked with Ken in the past but I'd seriously toss my hat into the mix if you ever wanted other co-hosts or panel people on the show. |
